About 23 DOJO

Born in south London on 22 November, 23 Dojo is a British Nigerian afro-fusion singer and songwriter. Dojo brings you an Afro/Caribbean experience, using fusions of dancehall, hip-hop & afrobeats in his sound. Raised in Nigeria, you can be sure that he has the raw and authentic ingredients required for African music of today.

His music journey began in the busy streets of Lagos, Nigeria where he was introduced to hip hop culture - through freestyle cyphers in his neighbourhood. By 15, he had gained a reputation as a creative lyricist with a soulful undertone, and then returned to the UK for the next chapter.

In London, Dojo learnt songwriting under the award winning producer P2J, before collaborating with acts like Fasina, DOZ and Malik Polo to mention a few. He released his debut EP 'CHILLOGY' (under the name 'Deoba') - featuring the lead single 'One Dance' which was premiered online by Lucid Lemons. The project was well received by fans, and earned him a place on the MOBO CONNECT playlist in 2017.

23 Dojo's music combines subtle influences of reggae and hip hop, with an authentic african undertone. He has an unmatched presence on stage, with blazing performances at venues from London to Dubai.
